I like it! Starting to get a very oil painting effect on him.

That's really expressive painting. Great stuff.

Breaking one of my main rules I actually have 3 pieces to work on at the moment ...

So here is a pic of all 3

The guy in the suit (54 mil) should go with all the mdf
The idea is to have a fully layered theatre scenery like base

While I was getting that base sorted I planned a piece for this new Warhammer Fest thing in October
So I built a forest base for the LotR elven archer, lots of small pieces of dead tree ...

And I got the merchant bust for the speed painting at Figureworld

I'm still planning colours and some design bits for the MDF base
So strted a bit of painting on the merchant bust

Removing the back of the bust allows it to be mounted flush to a background
Hopefuilly this will allow me to get a portrait like effect

The initial work on the face was done during the speed painting
Quite happy with it for 40 minutes, but it will need quite a bit of work later
Especially the eyes :)

Bit more on the merchant bust
Not had too much time with travelling, but it is progressing quite quickly

Still need to sort the eyes out :)

Looks like I forgot to post the last work in priogress set

I had fun using wood stain, boot polish and inks to colour/darken a piece a of mahogany faced ply wood for mounting the bust, then I found a clear acrylic mobile phone stand that made a nice display holder for it.

And pictures
A bit dark, but I think they work

I think drawing with pallet knife is faster than brushes cause it takes more color than brushes and make color more thickness.
