Description
Author:
Morris, Robert.
Summary:
Part of the “Living History Reference Books Medieval Clothing Series”. “As with previous Stuart Press series on common peoples’ clothing [1580-1660, 1480-1580], it is intended to expand the series with volumes on textiles, headwear, footwear and trimmings and dying. In previous series second volumes were published on men’s and women’s clothing giving instructions on how to reproduce the garments. It was felt unnecessary to produce such a volume for this period as the recently published Medieval Tailor’s Assistant by Sarah Thursfield [Ruth Bean publishers 01234720356] covers the topic in detail. Care should be exercised as her book covers both common and upper class garments and it should be read in conjunction with the books in this series.”
