Badges of greyhounds were believed to bring luck to those who wore them. The subject of this example however, more likely suggests an association with hunting with the Hare apparently hiding in the one place that the Hound can not see it.
The original from which this replica is taken is in the Salisbury and South Wiltshire museum.
