Further details:
Three-dimensional openwork representation of a purse, the two halves cast separately and then soldered together. Within the two halves is enclosed a cast imitation coin. This lucky pendant would have been worn in the hope of attracting wealth to its wearer and as such illustrates the deeply superstitious nature of medieval society. The pendant can either be sewn directly onto clothing or can be suspended from a small belt mount hanger.
