Description
This cute apple shaped piece of beeswax (~2g) is ready for waxing linen threads when hand sewing. Simply draw the thread through the wax on an edge so the thread has a fine coating of wax.
Beeswax was used in medieval times to wax linen threads before hand-sewing. This makes the thread move through fabrics and leathers more easily also helping to seal the holes in leather. Many craftspeople used wax linen threads including shoe makers.
Please note – this is raw beeswax and not for cosmetic use.
