Author:
Mc Sween, Turloch.
Summary:
It is hoped that this collection of data will assist historical reenactors and cooks to more easily find the uses of period vegetables. In 1987 Greyhill Historical Farm was established to provide rare early 17th Century foods for cooks and reenactors. A list of produce was prepared but it was found that many who would have liked to use the produce were uncertain as to how to do so. As a result a rough set of instructions on the uses of each plant was produced by the farm. This grew to over ten pages and became too expensive to distribute. The adapted Greyhill notes now form the basis for this brief booklet.
