Description
Three 1cm ring-and-dot bone dice; in a cotton pouch 6 x 13cm; with the rules to Hazard.
By far the most commonly mentioned dice game from the thirteenth through to the eighteenth century, Hazard changed from a three-dice to a two-dice game probably sometime during the Tudor period, possibly due to the influence of increasingly popular gambling games played with cards. Includes an outline of the history of the game, and rules to both three- and two-dice versions, plus variants.
