During the medieval period in England and Europe Sandlewood was often referred to as ‘Sanders wood’. Sandlewood has a delicate fragrance with an earthy, woody scent.
A ‘water’ is the equivalent of todays Eau de toilette, used to gently perfume the body and hair.
